Revlon Nearly Naked - Review

(Price is £8.99)

I was on the hunt for a good lightweight foundation for summer because when the weather gets warmer I like using a lighter base because I do not like wearing or even like the feeling of having heavy foundation on my face during the summer as it tends to make my face sticky/sweaty to the point I just want to get makeup wipe and wipe everything off.  As well as making my face feel suffocated when I wear heavy foundation on my face. I have brought Revlon Nearly Naked a couple of months back from Boots and I’ve been using it for the last couple of months. I have to honestly say I adore this foundation.

Why? Well here are the reasons why: This foundation is so lightweight & it feels really light on your skin you don't even feel you have foundation on. Even though the coverage is sheer to light, it still evens out your skin tones with a dewy finish which makes your face look moisturised, glowing & I think that's a good thing in the summer. Blends so seamlessly into the skin, to the point you look naturally flawless.

However I do have to blot my face every now and then as my T-zone gets oily so if you have oily skin make sure you keep blotting sheets or setting powder with you.

Overall: It’s an amazing foundation to own in your collection not just for summer but also for an everyday foundation, which also has an SPF of 20 which is a bonus. I highly recommend it.

July Favourites 2014

Here are some of the products that I’ve been loving recently in the month of July, not only would I like to share them with you guys but I will explain why I have been loving these products.

Nivea rich day moisturising cream - this product is lightweight and leaves my skin feeling nourished (not a greasy feeling), soft all day long and protects my skin from the skin as it has SPF of 15.

Revlon Nearly Naked – this is my go to summer foundation as it is perfect to wear on humid days as it feels lightweight on the skin, it evens out the skin tone and looks natural on the face. As a bonus it also includes SPF 20. I will be doing an in depth review soon.

Garnier Caffeine Anti-dark Circles 2-in-1 Roll-on – I have recently brought this concealer to try it in the summer as the coverage is sheer and moisturizing which is why I prefer this concealer over the heavier concealers as it is perfect for the summer. Furthermore, it’s perfect to use in the morning as it has a cooling roller ball which refreshes and hydrates tired-looking eyes. I will also be doing an in depth review about this concealer soon.

Bourjois Volumizer mascarathe reason why I have picked this mascara for this month is because there are two steps involved in the mascara, this is perfect for the daytime and a night out as step 1 defines the eye lashes with a bit of volume which ideally is perfect for the day. However, if you wanted to change the look of your makeup or wanted more volume you are able to layer this mascara with step 2 as this will coat your eye lashes to boost and build maximum volume with no clumps.

Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner - on those humid days, no one wants eyeliner smearing down onto your cheeks. This eyeliner is absolute perfect for the summer days and especially with people who have oily eye lids as this eyeliner does not budge. Not only this eyeliner doesn’t budge, but you are able to easily remove it which is beneficial as the mistakes are easy to fix up without having to start off from scratch. Lastly, the pigmentation is great as it gives you the intense black colour.

Revlon Super Lustrous™ Matte Lipstick in the shade ‘Pink Pout’ – this lipstick is perfect for everyday use as it has a light to medium shade of pink with cool undertones. It has great pigmentation, long lasting (do not need to retouch up) and has a matte finish. Nevertheless, if you are looking for a dupe for the MAC snob lipstick then the exact dupe for it would be this Revlon Lipstick.

Nail Polish; Rimmel 60 Seconds 819 – this nail polish colour is perfect for the summer as the colour is very vibrant which gives any outfit a pop of colour, you do not need more than two coats to get a good pigmentation as only one coat is enough. Furthermore, this nail polish does not chip easily. I have found I am able to wear this polish for a good week without chipping.

Extras;
Perfume; Tommy Hilfiger ‘Tommy Girl’ – this is my go to summer perfume; it has an amazing fresh, sweet, floral scent that is refreshing in the summer. I have gotten so many compliments whilst I was wearing this perfume.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup - SPF 10 - Review

Estee lauder is one of my high end favourite foundations. It gives a flawless finish to the skin with true staying power - almost doll like appearance and stays on all day long. In addition, the foundation feels lightweight. Therefore, doesn’t feel heavy on the face and glides on smoothly which feels amazing and looks amazing on the skin. It looks natural through heat and humidity. Furthermore this foundation is fragrance-free, has SPF of 10 and the formula is liquidity which ensures that you do not need to apply a lot as a little goes a long way.

Once the foundation sets, it leaves a beautiful semi matt finish on the skin, it doesn’t look/feel cakey or cling onto any dry patches. Coverage wise, it is a medium coverage, but it can be buildable as you are able to layer this foundation to give you more a full and even coverage. Not only is this foundation excellent for its coverage, it won’t change colour, smudge or come off on clothes. With regards to the shades, this foundation is definitely a foundation that possibly has a shade for everyone. There are 31 shades available and is suitable for everyone that has warm tones, neutral tones and cool tones.

The only downside to this foundation is that it doesn’t come with a pump. However, I have found that the MAC pump fits perfectly for this foundation.
